You Can Be An Influence For Good In The Lives Of The Children You Know...

You can be an influence for good in the lives of children simply by understanding why you might want to be more mindful, and why your own history is so important in framing your interactions with children.

is Mindful

Mindful parenting is something we think about and plan for, something we give energy and effort to, and something we value enough to be thoughtful and diligent in.

Authentic parenting is uniquely molded to you in your unique circumstance -- your family situation, your personality, your history, your view of the world around you, and your goals for yourself and your children.

Using my system, you will create you own MAPS for parenting that are unique and useful to you. You can get started today by reading my book "Clams" and starting to document your own stories. As you read "Stacking The Deck", you will ceate your own simple MAPS - Mindful Authentic Parenting Systems.

Meet The Founder

Dr. Glenda Wilkes, PhD

Although parenting is perhaps the most important thing we do in life, most of us have no training for it. We make hundreds of decisions every day with little or no overall structure to work from. Considering the consequences of the parenting patterns we create, it is astonishing really that we rely solely on our experience as children coupled with what we observe from those around us. Few of us have ever thought about the world we are creating for the children in our lives in any systematic or mindful way.

These patterns that we create in our associations with children live on in their lives and even in the lives of those they eventually parent themselves. Generation after generation, we pay tribute to the things that were done by those before us by doing them ourselves, and those who come after us will do the same.

I invite you to come along with me on a journey that will take you back to your own childhood and the stories you remember from those formative years. From those stories you will create your own mindful, authentic way of interacting with the children in your life now, whether they be young, teens, or adult children.
